Location and population.

Australia is located between Indonesia and New Zealand. It's capital is Canberra.

Currently the population of Australia consists of 24.13 millions inhabitants.

ECONOMY

Australia is a wealthy country; it generates its income from various sources including mining-related exports, telecommunications, banking and manufacturing. It has a market economy relatively high, and a relatively low rate of poverty.

Landscape

Australia’s landscape is very varied and very beautiful, this country looks like another planet. The most important mountains in Australia are Ayers Rock or the Uluru. There are some beautiful places in Australia:

Pinnacles Desert.

Remarkables Rocks.

Hyams Beach. 

Wave Rock.

Painted Desert.

Bungle Bungle.

Hamelin Pool.

Weather

Australia's weather varies greatly throughout the eight states and territories; there are four seasons across most of the country and a wet and dry season in the tropical north.

Australia's seasons are at opposite times to those in the northern hemisphere. December to February is summer; March to May is autumn; June to August is winter; and September to November is spring.

Music

The Australia’s traditional music is based on aboriginal song beside Irish and British  folklore.

In XX century, the aboriginal singing are mixed with european music. The Australia´s famous singer is Maia Mitchell, however in Australia there are many singers of all the musical style.

Sports

The main sports practiced by people in Australia are: Australian footbal, Rugby and Tennis.

Festivals

The people  from Australia celebrate all kind of events. Common events like christmas, new year, labor day and events like soccer, motorcycle competition. The most important event in Australia is national party of Australia. They celebrate outdoors. They celebrate in family or friends, and they do a picnic or a barbecue.They also perform a parade of boats.

Art

Australian art dates back to prehistoric times. It includes Aboriginal, Colonial, Landscape, Atelier, early twentieth century painters, print makers, photographers, sculptors, and contemporary art.


Australia has many major art museums and galleries, both supported by the national, state, and local government, and university and privately owned museums. Some of the most important museums are:  the National Gallery of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery of Australia, the National Museum of Australia.

Country challenges

Australia shares a fairer and more reliable society, however it has serious problems with racial segregation to the point that an important challenge is to redefine like society and like nation.
